Testimonials + Thank you Notes
“Thank you SO much for taking time out of your busy schedule to come and talk to our group. You are very effective with the words you say and in all of your real-life examples. We definitely want to have you back again next year!” – Event Organizer, Janet, 50
“Thank you for proving we can transcend the stereotypes of our society”. - Ann, 21
"I LOVED the Q&A. I was honestly debating whether or not to go, but I’m so glad I did because it was so cool hearing that others had some of same questions I did, and then getting more encouragement and godly counsel on things I’m already standing firm, or sure of. It’s so good to see the Gospel being presented as truth and the final standard, but not as condemning or judgmental." -Carla, 31
“Every word that came out of your mouth tonight seemed like it was sent straight from the Lord to me! I've been in Christian education since I was 5 years old and I have never heard anything so fresh and revolutionary as your message tonight.” -Christine, 19
“Thank you so much for what you said. I truly appreciate how you talk openly and honestly about really hard things. I am challenged and often healed of something that I didn't even know bothered me, during your talks.” -Elizabeth, 21
“I picked up from the first time I heard you teach that God and His plan are so full of life...and just so you know we get that and your excitement about God and the truth He has for us to find.” -Julie, 36
“The message tonight spoke volumes to me. I strongly desire to become who God wants me to be as a woman and to focus on Him rather than on searching for relationships.” -Sarah, 27

My speaking journey
I remember it like it was yesterday. I was 27 years old. Sitting on my bed in the front bedroom of an on-campus apartment that I was required to live in for my job at Liberty University, I was in the middle of one of the darkest seasons of my life.
A subtle but very real depression had been resting on me for a few months. A heart wrenching break-up coupled with the suicide of a close friend and frankly, the death of how I thought my life would go, had exposed me to grief in a way I’d never known. I was angry. I was hurt. I couldn’t reconcile my faith in the face of all this loss. I wasn’t sure if I believed in a good God anymore, or God at all for that matter. Sitting there that day, wrestling again with intolerable emotions, I asked aloud in desperation, “God, what do you want for me?”
Immediately, in my spirit I felt a response. “To Speak.” Me? Why me? I’ve never spoken before. “Say what no one else is saying to the young women here at Liberty. Speak the Truth.”
The next 6 months proved that what I heard that day, was not produced by my imagination. Suddenly, I began to hunger for the Word in a way I never had. I sat alone at a corner table at the local Barnes and Noble every free moment I had, writing. Entire talks pouring out of my heart in as little as one hour.
Then one day in early August I got a call from my former boss. He offered me a position as the Interim Director of Women’s Ministry at Liberty University. I accepted and told him I wanted to start a Bible Study right way. A few weeks later I found myself standing on the podium at Convocation, in front of 10,000 students making an announcement about TruthBeTold, the name I’d chosen for the weekly Bible Study. For the next two years I lead TruthBeTold, weekly, with an attendance in the hundreds.
Since then I have been a keynote speaker at nearly 90 events throughout the U.S. I'm extremely comfortable with all types of events and group sizes, from Christian school classes of 15 to college groups of over 1000.
