Excerpt from Introduction

Christian women should be the most confident women in the world. When I say Christian, I don’t mean someone who goes to church because they think they are supposed to. I mean women who have had their every sin forgiven. Women who have the ability to connect instantly with the One who made them. Women who are loved by the Sovereign King of the universe. Women who know they will never be forgotten. Women who have divine assurance that they don’t have to be, and never will be, perfect.

When I say confidence I’m not referring to the worlds narrow definition and desperate attempts at it; Beyoncé on stage, Kylie Jenner in her sexy selfie. I’m talking about real confidence. The gentle, powerful state of being that is impossible to shake or fake. Impossible to shake because it’s rooted in facts that are in no way up for debate and cannot be made “untrue” by age, others opinions, failures, looks or relationships status. Impossible to fake because the facts are not things you can do, or wear or buy, they are only things you can believe, become and embody.

Confidence, for a Christian woman is simply a deep knowing. Knowing that she can trust her God and that she is loved, gifted, beautiful, empowered and free.

Why do these words feel scandalous? As if we aren’t allowed to be those things as Christian women.
